Complaints policy
Sometimes in life, with the very best will in the world...things just don't quite go according to plan.
We have a great success rate at looking after our patients to an extremely high standard.
BUT IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY WITH THE CARE RECEIVED AT MI DENTAL, THIS IS SOMETHING THAT WE TAKE EXTREMELY SERIOUSLY.
You should never feel afraid or embarassed to voice your opinions on the treatment you have received.
We want you to know how to be able to lodge a complaint.
And we want to not only help you, but also to learn from this, so we can do better next time around.
This is how it works:
- please contact us in whichever way you feel most comfortable. You can send a contact message on this website, you can call, you can email, you can write a letter. Any of these are absolutely fine but, a little advice, something in writing will always give us the time to understand where the problem is.
- we will acknowledge this as soon as possible, but at least within 3 working days.
- please remember that your feedback will be treated in the utmost confidence. If the complaint happens to be on someone else's behalf we would please ask for your patience and understanding as it is paramount for us to protect the confidentiality of our patient first and foremost.
- we will then investigate the matter as quickly as possible, but our aim is to always get back to you with some form of feedback within 10 working days. Our Complaints Lead is our practice owner, Mitesh Patel. If there should be a delay, we will inform you of this, as well as the reason why, as soon as possible.
- our aim is to provide the kind of feedback that would ideally resolve the problem, but at the very least allow us to have a mutual understanding of where things went wrong.
It is always best to try to resolve any issues at the ground level, with us. However, if we are not able to provide a satisfactory resolution for you, you are within your rights to seek advice from the Dental Complaints Service. This body is funded by the General Dental Council and seeks to provide support to anyone who needs help with matters relating to private dental care.
